Another one of our family favorites which is a must on weekends which goes well with steamed rice, bread, chapati or parotha and naan. It goes well with pineapple, cucumber and tomato salad.

Ingredients

chilli paste (cili boh)
5 garlic clove(s)
1 ginger
12 shallot(s)
2 tomato(es)
4 candlenut(s)
100 ml water
1⁄2 tsp salt
1 lemongrass stalk(s)
6 crab

Steps to Prepare

Blended ingredients 10 dried chillies- soak in hot water till soft 4 fresh red chilli 5 cloves garlic and 1 knob ginger 12 shallots 2 tomatoes 4 candle nuts 100 ml water 1 tbsp oil

1 big onion - slice salt to taste 1 stalk lemongrass- bruised

    • 6 crab

5/6 crabs ...Cleaned and Cut it into halves. Crack the shell slightly and leave aside.

Heat oil in a pan over low heat add the sliced onions and lemon grass and Stir-fry then add the blended chilli ingredients. sauté the mixed ingredients until fragrant.

Step 4 of 6

Add a little water and stir evenly and increase the heat to allow it to boil. Once boiling, add in the cleaned crab and cover with the lid. Simmer at medium heat for 8-10 minutes or more till crab cooks.

Turn off heat and garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Serve immediately with steamed rice....
