This is Pepper Steak. I have been experimenting with velveting meat. I wish I had started this journey sooner. I used Chuck or Flank steak for this dish and velveting cut the cooking time significantly and the meat was silky and soft.

I like to eat coconut buns but i find the commercial ones too sweet for my taste.  Today I tried Amy Beh’s recipe from Kuali.com.  It turned very nice.
