Wok

A wok is known to be the must-have pan for Southeast Asian cuisine. It's small surface but wide opening allows heat to concentrate at the centre while spreading evenly throughout the whole surface, making it great for high-heat cooking such as stirfrying. It is also an all-purpose item of cookware, combining the properties of a frying pan and saucepan. The wok can be used for searing, braising, steaming, frying, pan-frying or boiling.
