Dish Type: Side
A typical Malay kampung (village) dish. It has multiple names: Singgang - term used in Northern Malaysia like Pahang, Terengganu, or Kelantan and Pindang - term used in Southern Malaysia like Perak, Melacca, or Johor. Also, there are a number of variations of fish, vegetables, and ingredients used in the dish. It is quite daunting to choose which recipe to cook.

Here, I’m using threadfin cutlets for fish and ladies' fingers for the vegetables. It is best serves hot with white rice and Sambal Belacan (Raw Chillies with Shrimp Paste) as condiment.
